According to the Quang Nam Provincial Association of the Elderly, after 5 years of implementing the Project to replicate the intergenerational self-help club model in the period of 2021 - 2025, the whole province has 174 clubs established, operating effectively with more than 9,550 participating members.
The clubs have contributed to the effective implementation of poverty reduction in the locality, and have been recognized and highly appreciated by leaders at all levels. Over the past 5 years, the province has had 7 groups and 7 individuals awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in building and developing intergenerational self-help clubs.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tam - Chairman of the Provincial Elderly Association said that expanding the intergenerational self-help club model is one of the important tasks that the association includes in the annual emulation and reward content. The provincial and district associations regularly inspect and supervise the activities of the clubs.
The clubs organize many activities to help each other, raise funds and exchange, travel , experience... creating a fun and united atmosphere. Activities to help members borrow capital to do business and stabilize their lives are carried out quite well, contributing to social security in the locality.
