Quang Ninh has more than 1000 candidates taking the entrance exam to specialized high schools.

On the morning of June 1, more than 15,000 candidates in Quang Ninh province took the 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year. Of these, 1,010 candidates registered to take the 10th grade exam at Ha Long High School for the Gifted - the only specialized school in Quang Ninh province.

This is the first entrance exam organized under the 2018 GeneralEducation Program.

According to information from the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ninh , for the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year, Quang Ninh province has 15,736 candidates registered to take the exam at 32 examination councils, with 654 official examination rooms and 42 backup examination rooms.

The province has mobilized more than 2,000 cadres, teachers, employees and coordinating forces to participate in tasks at 32 examination councils, ensuring the correct and sufficient structure, composition and quantity according to regulations.

On the morning of June 1, non-specialized high school candidates will take the Literature exam (120 minutes), the Foreign Language exam in the afternoon (60 minutes), and the Math exam on the morning of June 2 (120 minutes).

The invigilator calls candidates into the exam room and checks their exam cards.

On the afternoon of June 2, candidates took the Ha Long High School for the Gifted exam, taking specialized subjects: Information Technology, Physics, Biology, History, Geography, French, Chinese (150 minutes). On the morning of June 3, candidates took the specialized subjects: Math, Chemistry, Literature, English (150 minutes).

The invigilators thoroughly and in detail instruct the candidates on the requirements and regulations of the exam.

According to information from the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ninh province, this year, Ha Long High School for the Gifted enrolls 420 students for grade 10, with a competition ratio of 1/2.4. Of which, some subjects have higher competition ratios than average, the highest being Literature, followed by Math and English.

The announcement schedule for exam scores and expected benchmark scores for public schools is June 15.

The deadline for receiving appeal applications is 4:00 p.m. on June 17.

Registration for private schools is from June 22 to July 25.
