According to the regulations for the 10th grade entrance exam, at exactly 8:00 a.m. on June 6, more than 76,000 candidates in Ho Chi Minh City officially began taking the literature exam. The exam time is 120 minutes.

This year's 10th grade exam is the first exam according to the 2018 General Education Program, with many important changes in the structure and test materials, especially in literature.

According to the Departmentof Education and Training (GD-DT) of Ho Chi Minh City, the 2018 General Education Program aims to assess students' capacity and ability to apply learned knowledge to solve specific situations in life. Therefore, in this year's 10th grade entrance exam, the distribution of knowledge levels in the exam questions in all 3 subjects has also been adjusted to reduce the level of recognition and understanding and increase the application rate.

According to some literature teachers, students need to practice a lot and develop their real abilities instead of coping by memorizing. The literature exam will certainly not have any content that can be memorized to complete the test.
