Implementing the Government's housing assistance program for poor and near-poor households in the 2024-2025 period, from the beginning of 2025, Quang Trach district quickly established a Steering Committee to review and summarize eligible subjects to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval. Through the review, the whole district has 96 houses of poor and near-poor households, 371 houses of meritorious people that need support for new construction and renovation.
After many years of living in a dilapidated, leaky house, Mr. Ta Van Thuong's family in Phap Ke village, Quang Phuong commune is about to move into a new house with great joy. The newly built house has an area of over 80m2 , with a support of 60 million VND from the province and 20 million VND from socialized sources. In addition, local authorities at all levels and the Youth Union have supported additional working days, construction materials and donated household items to her family.
Unable to hide his excitement, Mr. Ta Van Thuong shared: “Having a new house has been my long-time dream, but I have not been able to do it because of my family's difficult circumstances. I myself have had two accidents, which has limited my ability to work, my wife is often sick, and my two children are still in school. Now, that wish has come true, my family is no longer worried when the rainy season comes. I thank the attention and support of all levels and sectors, and the affection and care of the people so that we can have a solid house like today."
Sharing the joy of moving into a new house, Ms. Dong Thi Phuong Thao, Trung Vu village, Canh Duong commune shared: “My family is in difficult circumstances, having to raise 2 children on her own, so the dream of a new, solid house to avoid the sun and rain is really too far away. However, today that dream has come true, the family does not know what to say other than thank the State and neighbors for their care and help so that mother and child can have a solid house to live in.”
According to the report from the Steering Committee of the XNT-NDN program in Quang Trach district, as of May 15, 2025, the entire district has handed over and put into use 94/96 houses, the remaining 2 houses have completed "3 hard", and are currently being completed for handover to the people. Thus, Quang Trach district is the first locality in the province to "reach the finish line" of the XNT-NDN program. Particularly for households with meritorious services, up to now, Quang Trach district has started construction on 315 houses, reaching 84.91% of the total 371 houses that need to be newly built or repaired.
Secretary of Quang Trach District Party Committee Nguyen Chi Thang said that in order to effectively implement the XNT-NDN program, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee has assigned each member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee to be in charge of each commune to urge, monitor and be responsible to the Standing Committee for the progress and quality of the project. Every week, they must closely monitor and report the progress to the Steering Committee and advise on handling difficulties and problems during the implementation process.
“Up to now, Quang Trach district has completed the XNT-NDN program before the deadline of June 30. This is the result of the strong determination of the entire political system. Especially the great support and companionship of organizations, individuals, and people from all walks of life, thereby strongly spreading the message of “leaving no one behind” as initiated by the Prime Minister”, Quang Trach District Party Secretary Nguyen Chi Thang shared.
Accompanying the district's XNT-NDN program, the Quang Trach District Social Policy Bank supported each household with 5 million VND and provided loans for the clean water and environmental sanitation program with an amount of 200 million VND for households to build new, upgrade, and renovate clean water and sanitation facilities. In addition, social organizations, philanthropists, friends, and neighbors also supported additional working days and household items so that households could settle down, work, and develop their economy with peace of mind, escape poverty, and gradually build a stable life. |
