(TN&MT) - On the afternoon of May 22, at the 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly, with 91.90%, comrade Dang Quoc Khanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ha Giang province was elected and approved by the National Assembly to hold the position of Minister of Natural Resources and Environment for the 2021-2026 term.

Minister Dang Quoc Khanh succeeded comrade Tran Hong Ha - who was approved by the National Assembly to hold the position of Deputy Prime Minister from early January 2023 and was approved by the National Assembly to be dismissed from the position of Minister of Natural Resources and Environment early in the afternoon of the same day.

Minister Dang Quoc Khanh is from Tien Dien commune, Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh province; PhD in Urban and Construction Management, civil and industrial construction engineer; Alternate member of the 12th Party Central Committee; Member of the 13th Party Central Committee; National Assembly delegate for two consecutive terms, 14th and 15th.
