(KGO) - In the first quarter, Kien Giang tourism earned over 13,000 billion VND, reaching 45.8% of the 2025 plan.

On March 26, the Department of Tourism of Kien Giang province announced that in the first quarter of 2025, Kien Giang is estimated to welcome over 3.1 million tourists, an increase of 13.7% over the same period in 2024, reaching 28.4% of the 2025 plan; of which, international visitors are estimated to welcome nearly 480,000, an increase of 65% over the same period, reaching 40% of the yearly plan. Total revenue from tourism activities reached VND 13,047 billion, an increase of 79.4% over the same period, reaching 45.8% of the yearly plan.

Phu Quoc City alone is estimated to welcome over 2 million tourists, with total revenue from tourism activities reaching 10,656 billion VND.
