International Fireworks Festival 2025: Welcoming a new era with Da Nang

Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2025) will take place from May 31 to July 12, 2025 with the theme "Danang-The New Rising Era".

DIFF 2025 promises not only impressive fireworks displays but also brings visitors top-notch experiences with a combination of art, music , sports and technological innovation.

Six nights of fireworks

DIFF 2025 will be the longest and largest fireworks festival among the Da Nang International Fireworks Festivals with 6 nights of fireworks.

This is the first year that Vietnam has 2 participating teams: the familiar host team Da Nang, which has participated in previous fireworks competitions, and team Z121 Vina Pyrotech (Chemical One Member Limited Liability Company 21 - Ministry of National Defense , a rookie considered an unpredictable unknown with 30 years of experience in producing and exporting fireworks.

The remaining eight international teams come from countries with a long tradition in the fireworks industry, including Finland, the reigning champion of DIFF 2024, and three teams: Italy, China and Canada - former champions in 2018, 2009 & 2008 respectively.

Portugal and the UK are the newcomers that will create many surprises for this 2025 DIFF festival season.

The opening night of DIFF 2025 is scheduled to take place on the evening of May 31, with a match between Vietnam 1 and Finland under the theme "Cultural Essence."

The fireworks nights are then held every Saturday night in the following weeks (with a week off before the finale) including:

Night 2 (June 7) has the theme "Creative Art" between the two teams Vietnam 2 and Poland.

Night 3 (June 14) has the theme "Connecting Journey" between the two teams Canada and China.

Night 4 (June 21) has the theme "Sustainable Development" between the two teams Portugal and England.

Night 5 (June 28) has the theme "Technology leads the way" between the two teams Korea and Italy.

Night 6 (July 12) with the theme "Welcoming the new era" - Final

Venue

The venue will be the same as DIFF 2024, including the Han River Port area (shooting ground) and the sidewalk area of Tran Hung Dao Street (performing arts).

Each night, teams will have 20 minutes to perform fireworks displays according to the specified theme. The size of the stands and the number of seats are expected to be similar to DIFF 2024.

Each competition night will be a vibrant live concert with the participation of famous domestic and international artists and music idols, combining fireworks, music and modern technology, bringing visitors experiences beyond expectations.

In particular, augmented reality technology will be integrated into the Sun Paradise Land (SPL) application, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in a world of unlimited imagination and creativity with the Da Nang fireworks sky, creating a strong spread.

Through unique technological effects, visitors' fireworks experience this year promises to be enhanced.

Ticket price to watch Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2025

As every year, there will be 2 types of tickets to watch Da Nang fireworks: tickets to watch on the stands and tickets to watch on the cruise ship, in which there will be different prices for each type of stand and the price of tickets to watch on the cruise ship will also be different depending on the floor as well as the type of cruise ship, standard 2* or 3*.

More than 40 events and festivals accompanying the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival

In addition to the Da Nang Fireworks Festival as the main event, Da Nang City will organize events, festivals, and cuisine to accompany the fireworks. The opening night will be a Jetski & Flyboards show by Australian manufacturer H2O. This is one of the differences compared to last year.

For the first time, the fireworks festival will feature a series of world-famous entertainment stars such as Maestro Voronin - known as the David Copperfield of the world's comedy magicians, or Crystal Ladies - the twin stars who appeared on the famous The Ellen Show.

Also during the 2025 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, there will be a series of big shows at tourist attractions.

Ba Na Hills tourist area organizes a series of events throughout the international fireworks festival, in which the highlight is the WOW Kingdom show with performances by the world's top artists in the field of circus and magic led by the legendary Maestro Voronin; Fairy Blossom.

At Asia Park, visitors cannot miss the unique Symphony of River show. The show has two performances, day and night, with a stage with a capacity of up to 4,000 seats, in which the night show will be combined with an eye-catching fireworks display.

Also at Asia Park, the show “Vietnamese Puppetry” brings the essence of puppetry to Da Nang for the first time, performed by the artists of the Vietnam Puppetry Theatre every day of the week. Along with that, two shows will be held at 7pm and 8:15pm at the Marina stage of the Au O Theatre.

Many famous entertainment venues also launched a series of unique products and events such as the Random dance Kpop program; Water Fest festival; DANAFF II film festival; Southeast Asian Student Sports Festival.

After 12 years of taking place, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival has become a festival with its own brand of the "city on the Han River," turning Da Nang into a "fireworks city," contributing to making Da Nang's name increasingly popular in the international arena, becoming an attractive tourist destination of regional and world stature./.

The Da Nang International Fireworks Competition was first held in 2008 with the abbreviated name: DIFC (Danang International Fireworks Competition).

In the early years, there were only 4 competing teams divided into 3 competition nights and Da Nang city was the organizer.

By 2017, Da Nang city handed over to Sun Group to take over and the competition was upgraded to Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF (Da Nang International Firework Festival) with 8 competing teams and divided into 5 consecutive shooting nights until now.
