In early May, the An Giang Talent Support Fund held a meeting to celebrate its 15th anniversary (2010 - 2025), with the theme "Journey to Turn Dreams into Reality". The event not only honored organizations and individuals who contributed to the fund, but also looked back on its meaningful development journey. The fund supported, rewarded, sponsored, and supported 2,150 outstanding students, students, and individuals, contributing to the training of dozens of PhDs, hundreds of masters, engineers, doctors, teachers, writers, officers, workers, etc. In particular, the fund focuses on discovering and promptly supporting talents who are facing difficulties in learning conditions, helping them overcome challenges and pursue their passion.

“The purpose of the fund is to discover, support and reward outstanding individuals in the fields of socio-economics, national defense and security. This is not a “charity” or “education promotion” fund, but a “human investment fund” - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the An Giang Talent Support Fund Nguyen Huu Khanh shared. “Over the past time, the fund has not only provided material support, but also been a great source of spiritual encouragement. Without the encouragement of the fund, I would not have achieved today. I promise to continue to strive and train to return to contribute to the development of the fund and my home province” - Nguyen Thanh Vu (excellent engineer majoring in Mechanical Manufacturing Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education) shared.

In the early days of its establishment, the fund received strong support from the community. From the initial 4.1 billion VND (contributed by 40 organizations and individuals), by March 2025, the total contributed capital reached 14.5 billion VND. In the past 15 years, the fund has spent more than 12 billion VND on rewards and support; the remaining capital to date is 16.5 billion VND. "The outstanding mark of the fund is that the activities to honor, support, and support talents are all substantial, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources for the province. Giving to the right people at the right time has helped the fund create a spreading effect, attracting socialized resources in the past time" - Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Association for Promotion of Education Nguyen Tan Danh assessed. Another valuable point is that those who have received support from the fund have now returned to contribute. Up to now, 55 beneficiaries have contributed 153.5 million VND. Many individuals contribute for the 2nd - 3rd time. This is a living proof of the fund's sustainability and humanity.

Development orientation

To continue the mission of spreading values ​​and supporting talents, the fund has set out the motto of action: "Discover - nurture - accompany - spread", with 5 key orientations, including: Expanding the subjects and areas of selection to discover more talents in new fields; strengthening connections, mobilizing social resources, building an increasingly strong fund; establishing a mechanism for accompanying, consulting and long-term orientation for those receiving support; applying digital transformation in management and communication, improving operational efficiency; closely coordinating with agencies, units and localities to deploy synchronous and effective activities. "The fund will expand its area of ​​operation when the new province is formed, reorganize its activities in a methodical and professional manner, and expand the beneficiary criteria to help more talents. In the near future, the management board will set a time to organize the 4th term Congress, unifying the long-term development roadmap" - Mr. Khanh added.

15 years is not a long journey, but it is enough to prove that the fund is a strategic investment model for the future. Not following the "trend" or doing it for "reputation", the fund has, is and will continue to nurture the young generation of An Giang, those who have the desire to contribute, the spirit of learning and responsibility for their homeland to realize their dreams and ambitions, contributing to the rapid and sustainable development of An Giang. “The establishment and effective maintenance of the fund over the past 15 years have not only contributed practically to the development of education and training in An Giang, but also made an important contribution to the implementation of the three strategic breakthroughs set forth by the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party, which is to focus on developing high-quality human resources. The fund has contributed to connecting training with the use of human resources, helping many young people find a suitable path and promote their capacity in practice. Thanks to the timely support from the fund, many excellent students in the province have better conditions to continue their education. Many of them have grown up, have stable jobs, and return to continue working with the fund. This is a very valuable work,” affirmed Vice Chairwoman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy.
