On the afternoon of April 2, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Military Command held a launching ceremony for the book "History of Special Forces Battalion 470, Khanh Hoa Provincial Armed Forces".

The 470th Special Forces Battalion, formerly the 7th Special Forces Battalion of the 3rd Sao Vang Division, was established on February 16, 1969 at the revolutionary base of Phu Cat district, Binh Dinh province. During the journey from its establishment to its dissolution (October 1976), the officers and soldiers of the battalion overcame all dangers and hardships, participated in many campaigns, organized many battles and won victories on the battlefields of Binh Dinh and Khanh Hoa , contributing to the cause of completely liberating the South and unifying the country.

With its outstanding achievements in combat, contributing to the overall victory of the nation's resistance war against the US, in 2013, the 470th Special Forces Battalion was honored to be awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forcesby the President .

According to the wishes of generations of former officers and soldiers of the 470th Special Forces Battalion, with the consent of the Standing Committee of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and the Political Department of Military Region 5, the Party Committee - Military Command of Khanh Hoa province has compiled the book "History of the 470th Special Forces Battalion, Khanh Hoa Provincial Armed Forces". The book has 220 pages, including 4 chapters, rich content, recording the developments and significance of the events, glorious feats, and hardships that the officers and soldiers of the 470th Special Forces Battalion have experienced throughout its historical journey.
