The novel "From Viet Bac to Hanoi" depicts the image of Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh from early 1941 to the success of the August Revolution. On the afternoon of September 2, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

Similar to the first two volumes, writer Nguyen The Ky remains consistent with the chronicle narrative style, proactively creating a linear chronological flow for the story. The narrator recounts important events and incidents that actually occurred; real or fictional people all revolve around the character Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh. However, the author always stands firmly on the creative field of literature to illuminate and reflect the inner depth of the character, especially the thoughts, feelings, soul, thinking, talent and character of the central character.

The context of volume 3 (from 1941 to 1945), at this time the Vietnamese revolutionary situation, although quiet on the surface, was seething inside, waiting for the opportunity to erupt into a big storm... Reading this volume, readers will have more interesting surprises when learning more about the rich activities, strategic vision, and sharpness of leader Ho Chi Minh when he operated in Cao Bang, Bac Kan , Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen; many trips back and forth across the Vietnam - China border like a shuttle to connect with the Communist Party of China. This volume also mentions his arrest and detention by the Chiang Kai-shek government for more than a year, exiled through dozens of large and small prisons; the circumstances of the birth of the poems in "Prison Diary"; the affection of the Chinese people for Ho Chi Minh and his comrades. Next is the content related to the event of his return to the country, continuing to lead the struggle for national liberation of our people to the victory of the August Revolution in 1945...

Writer Nguyen The Ky said that volume 4 of the novel series "Nuoc non van dam" is expected to be released before September 2, 2024 and volume 5 will be released on May 19, 2025. Along with the 5-volume novel series, there will be 5 stage plays of the same name.

The novel series "Nuoc non van dam" consists of 5 volumes. Volume 1 is "Nô nước non", published in 2022, depicting the image of Nguyen Sinh Cung - Nguyen Tat Thanh from childhood, until he became a teacher at Duc Thanh school, Phan Thiet, then went to Saigon to cross the ocean on June 5, 1911 to find a way to save the country.

Volume 2 of "Drifting on Four Seas", published in 2023, depicts the image of Nguyen Tat Thanh, under the new name Nguyen Van Ba, boarding a ship to France. In France, he and Phan Chau Trinh, Phan Van Truong and a number of Vietnamese patriots sent "The Demands of the Annamese People" to the Versaille Conference (1919); attending the 18th Congress of the French Socialist Party in Tours, Nguyen Ai Quoc voted in favor of the Third International and was one of the founding members of the French Communist Party. He came to Marxism-Leninism, absorbing the draft Theses of VI Lenin on national and colonial issues. After 30 years of wandering from East to West, from West to East through France, England, America, Africa, Australia, the Soviet Union, China, Thailand..., on February 3, 1930, in Hong Kong (China), he represented the Communist International to convene a conference to unify three communist organizations in the country into a single political party, the Communist Party of Vietnam. On January 28, 1941, he returned to Vietnam.

Currently, the stage play "Debt to the Country" directed by People's Artist Trieu Trung Kien has been released, serving the public nationwide. If volumes 4 and 5 of the novel series "Nuoc non van dam" are completed as scheduled, this will be the first novel series of contemporary Vietnamese literature to fully, deeply and vividly reflect the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh.
