Real Madrid will play Barcelona in the early morning of April 27 in the final of the Spanish King's Cup. But before this match, there were rumors that Real Madrid would boycott the match if the organizers did not choose a foreign referee.

Because Real Madrid accused referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea, chosen to officiate the final, of having an "obviously hostile and resentful" attitude towards them.

In a statement on RMTV, Real Madrid said: "The match referees had a hostile attitude towards Real Madrid. Given the seriousness of the incident, Real Madrid hopes that those in charge of the RFEF and the Referees' Committee will act appropriately, taking the appropriate measures to protect the reputation of the organizations they represent."

Spanish press also reported that Real Madrid President Florentino Perez had a heated argument with President of the Royal Spanish Football Federation Rafael Louza.

But Real Madrid have now reversed course, confirming that they will play in the final. In a statement to the press, Real Madrid said: "In light of the rumours that have emerged in recent hours, Real Madrid declares that our team has never considered withdrawing from tomorrow's final.

Real Madrid understands that the values of football must be respected, despite the hostility and animosity that the referees appointed for the final have shown against our club."
