Thirty-six years ago, Ronald Koeman scored against the Federal Republic of Germany (West Germany) in the semi-finals of EURO 1988. Now, the Dutch coach will lead his players in another semi-final with the goal of making history. In two spells in charge of the national team, Koeman has brought the "Orange Storm" back after years of being lost. For the first time, after the Dutch team missed out on EURO 2016 and the 2018 World Cup, the 61-year-old strategist led the Oranje back to a major tournament in the EURO 2020 qualifiers. The Dutch coach has been criticised for failing to name the best squad after the group stage. However, Koeman has been very good at making timely substitutions.
