38-year-old striker Cristiano Ronaldo extended his goalless streak as Al Nassr drew 1-1 with Inter Milan in a friendly match on the afternoon of July 27.
Ronaldo did not leave any mark on the Nagai field, except for a shot that hit goalkeeper Filip Stankovic in an offside position and a long-range shot that missed the goal. Against the defense of the 2022-2023 Champions League runner-up, he had almost no chance to show off his personal skills. CR7 also did not receive enough support from the midfield, although the two new players Marcelo Brozovic and Seko Fofana both started. Ronaldo left the field right after the first half, making way for Abdulmajeed Al Sulaiheem.

This is Ronaldo's sixth consecutive goalless match for Al Nassr. Previously, the 38-year-old striker failed to score when his team beat Alverca 2-0, Farense 5-1, lost 0-5 to Celta Vigo, Benfica 1-4 and drew 0-0 with PSG. These six matches are all part of Al Nassr's pre-season tour for the 2023-2024 season.
Ronaldo's teammate Abdullah Ghareeb took advantage of the opportunity in the 23rd minute to open the scoring. After receiving a high pass from Fofana, the Saudi Arabian winger fired a one-touch shot into the near corner, beating goalkeeper Filip Stankovic.
After conceding the goal, Inter immediately reorganized their formation and style of play. They created many chances in front of the Al Nassr goal, but Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa both missed. The Champions League runners-up had to wait until the 44th minute to equalize. After receiving a right-wing cross from Denzel Dumfries, midfielder Davide Frattesi headed the ball accurately into the far corner.
After the break, Inter continued to disappoint in terms of finishing. The Italian team took the initiative and shot more than a dozen times, but did not score any more goals. Lautaro Martinez alone missed three good chances. The most regrettable chance for Inter fans was when the Argentine striker was seven meters from goal, but shot over the bar. Midfielder Kristjan Asllani also missed a chance with a curling shot that missed the post by a hair.

Al Nassr were mostly defensive in the second half. The early departures of Ronaldo, Brozovic and Fofana left the Saudi Arabian side without any attacking firepower. However, Al Nassr were still lucky enough to keep the score at 1-1 until the end of the match.
Al Nassr will return to Saudi Arabia in early August to take part in the group stage of the Arab Club Champions Cup. Ronaldo and his teammates will then kick off the 2023-2024 Saudi Pro League campaign against Al Ettifaq on August 14. Meanwhile, Inter have two more friendlies to play against PSG on August 1 and Red Bull Salzburg on August 9, before facing Monza in their Serie A opener on August 19.
