Saigon Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation ( SABECO ) has launched post-disaster support activities for six northern provinces affected by Typhoon Yagi, through cooperation with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (Central Youth Union), local agencies, and the company's media and business partners.
With a total value of over VND4.2 billion, the support program is coordinated by SABECO and other parties to provide essential goods and food to people in flooded areas in Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang and Yen Bai. The estimated value of support for each province is VND650,560,000. In addition, the program also provides financial support worth VND50,000,000 to frontline forces participating in overcoming the consequences of the storm in each province.
Supporting goods such as bottled water, food, and flashlights provided by MM Mega supermarket and Chuong Duong Beverage Company will be distributed to people by local authorities and Provincial Youth Union members.
Prioritize employee safety and business stability
With 44 member companies and more than 12,000 employees in the system, SABECO is committed to ensuring the safety and health of its employees, especially in companies and factories managed by Saigon Beer Trading Company Dong Bac and Saigon Beer Trading Company Mien Bac which were directly affected by Typhoon Yagi . During the period of impact, the Board of Directors together with SABECO Trade Union and related departments are working together to:
- Ensure the safety of employees and their families.
- Assess the condition of facilities and infrastructure.
- Coordinate with local agencies and emergency services.
- Continue to supply products to businesses in need of reconstruction
SABECO employees have also shown solidarity and joined hands towards community relief, by participating in an internal donation program organized by SABECO Union, to share with employees in affected areas.
