Saigon Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation - Sabeco (SAB) has just announced the documents for the 2023 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled to be held from April 27, 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City with the content revolving around the business plan for 2023 as well as the plan to issue shares to increase the company's charter capital.

Specifically, Sabeco set a net revenue target of VND50,272 billion, an increase of about 15% compared to the actual performance in 2022. Profit after tax is expected to increase by about 5% to VND5,775 billion. This is considered a relatively ambitious plan because this profit level is the highest in Sabeco's operating history.

This is also relatively understandable when in 2020, Sabeco also had a relatively prosperous business year. Net revenue reached 34,979 billion VND, profit after tax reached 5,500 billion VND, up 33% and 40% respectively compared to 2021. With these results, Sabeco plans to submit a special dividend payment of 15% in 2022.

If we add the previously distributed dividend at the rate of 35%, in 2022, Sabeco will have distributed a total dividend of 50%. This means that each shareholder owning 01 dividend will receive a dividend equivalent to VND 5,000/share.

In addition to the relatively ambitious business target, Sabeco also presented shareholders with a plan to issue up to 641.3 million shares to existing shareholders to increase charter capital. These shares will be issued at a ratio of 1:1 and are not subject to transfer restrictions. The source of implementation will be taken from undistributed after-tax profits as of December 31, 2022. The expected implementation time will be in 2023, immediately after the issuance plan is approved by the State Securities Commission.

If this issuance is successful, SAB's charter capital will increase from VND6,413 billion to VND12,826 billion.
