On the X platform (formerly Twitter), where Salah has more than 19.4 million followers, the striker also changed his profile picture to a picture with his children and deleted the Liverpool-related bio. However, old posts related to the Merseyside club remained.

In the win over Frankfurt, coach Slot took a risk with a new formation, using the striker duo Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike, with support from Cody Gakpo and Florian Wirtz. This decision proved to be the right one as Liverpool scored 5 goals, thereby somewhat reducing the pressure after a series of bad results.
