On the afternoon of May 6, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong held a meeting with relevant agencies and units to discuss plans to prepare for the Hai Phong Food Festival in 2025. This is an activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong's liberation, respond to the Red Flamboyant Festival - Hai Phong 2025 and welcome the Red Flamboyant train.
The Hai Phong Food Festival 2025 will be held at Nguyen Du Flower Garden and Hai Phong Railway Station from May 10-12 to promote Hai Phong cuisine, introduce Hai Phong street food (Foodtour), typical dishes, and specialties associated with the Hai Phong brand.
The festival has the participation of 26 booths introducing cuisine, tourism information, and souvenirs of Hai Phong. Of which, at Nguyen Du Flower Garden, there are 22 food booths from famous culinary establishments in districts and towns in the city, introducing to people and tourists specialties and famous street foods of Hai Phong such as: Kien Thuy braised sardines, An Tho sour sausage, crab spring rolls, crab rice noodles, baguettes, water fern cakes, chrysanthemum tea, coconut coffee...
In particular, at the Hai Phong Food Festival 2025, there will also be booths introducing Hai Duong specialties such as green bean cakes, blood worms, Con Son honey, Kiep Bac lotus wine, etc.
At the meeting, delegates from departments, sectors, localities and food stalls contributed some ideas to the program's organizing committee on event organization, ensuring food safety and hygiene, security and order... during the festival.
The Hai Phong culinary festival 2025 will start on the morning of May 10. The opening ceremony will take place on the same evening at the Trumpet House in Nguyen Du Flower Garden with cultural and artistic performances at the Trumpet House, demonstrations of making famous crab rice noodles from the port city, Tuong Long mountain root hotpot, Cat Ba grouper smoked on volcanic rocks, gilded sakura beef on fire... by the port city's top chefs.
Locals and tourists attending the festival will enjoy modern dance performances and experience making banh troi at the Lien Am banh troi booth (Vinh Bao district)...
