This morning, September 29, at Xeo hamlet, Cao Son commune, Da Bac district, Hoa Binh province, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway project (Km19+000 - Km53+000 section through Hoa Binh province) was solemnly held.

The groundbreaking ceremony will be attended by leaders of the Government , central departments, ministries and branches. Delegates from Hoa Binh province include: Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Bui Duc Hinh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Bui Van Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; former leaders of the province through the periods; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Provincial National Assembly Delegation; leaders of departments, branches, districts and cities in the province.
The Hoa Binh – Moc Chau Expressway Project (Km19+000 – Km53+000 section through Hoa Binh province) has a total investment of 9,997 billion VND, a scale of 2 lanes, a length of 34 km. This is a key project and the first expressway to be built in Hoa Binh province.
The project is of special significance, expected to promote the socio -economic development of Hoa Binh province and the Northwest region. After completion, the expressway will connect the transportation network of Hoa Binh province with Son La province and the capital Hanoi, creating an expressway axis connecting the Northwest region with the key economic region of the North. Thereby, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the localities of the two provinces of Hoa Binh and Son La; completing the tasks and solutions stated in the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the Party Committee of Hoa Binh province, term 2020 - 2025.
