Leverkusen had an emotional night in the German Cup - where young talent of Vietnamese origin Ibrahim Maza became the hero with the decisive goal in extra time.

Second-division team Paderborn entered the match with full fire, played evenly and continuously made Leverkusen's goal shake with shots from Felix Gotze and Lucas Copado.

Leverkusen, despite having more possession, were almost powerless against their opponents' disciplined defense, with their only rare chance coming from Hofmann's volley that missed the bar in the first half.
