Streamlining the Union apparatus to ensure operational efficiency

(LĐ online) - On the afternoon of May 27, the Labor Federations of the three provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong held a conference to discuss and contribute ideas on the merger of the three provincial Labor Federations.

Accordingly, the three units identified the main goal of merging the Labor Federations of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, and Dak Nong provinces to establish the Labor Federation of Lam Dong province and merge into the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lam Dong province to ensure the regulations of the Party and State on streamlining the organization and apparatus, and operating effectively and efficiently.

The merger must still ensure smooth and timely operations according to the new model in the spirit of effectiveness and efficiency, without interruption or disruption of work, affecting the movement of workers, civil servants and trade union activities.

According to the plan, after the merger, all remaining grassroots unions will be transferred to the new Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor for management and direct operation. Specifically, there will be about 855 grassroots unions in enterprises, cooperatives, unions, administrative and public service units that do not receive 100% of the budget salary with about 75,000 union members.

End the activities of district-level Labor Federations and industry unions, and bloc unions of the three provinces; end the activities and dissolve grassroots unions receiving 100% of their salaries from the state budget; receive and transfer the number of grassroots unions in enterprises, trade unions, administrative and public service units that do not receive 100% of their salaries from the state budget to the new Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation.

The conference discussed, contributed ideas, and listened to the opinions of union officials, determined to do a good job of ideological work for officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers, creating solidarity, unity, and high consensus in the arrangement and merger of the three provinces.
