After nearly two decades, student films will return to VTV primetime.

Since “C21 Special Forces” two decades ago, there have been few Vietnamese TV series that have explored the main characters as children, then expanded to the eventful journey of adulthood.

From September 4, Vietnam Television will send to the audience the movie “1 millimeter away from you” every Thursday and Friday evening, right after “Rainbow on the horizon” ends.

According to information from the Vietnam Television Film Center (VFC), since “C21 Special Task Force” nearly 20 years ago, VFC has had a long-running TV series whose main characters are teenagers of school age. Not only that, the film also takes the audience back to a nostalgic space and time, a peaceful countryside, when phones and the internet were not yet popular. “1 millimeter away from you” promises to touch the childhood memories of many generations of viewers.

The film revolves around the friendship of a group of children in Lang May, including Tu, a hyperactive, mischievous girl who loves justice and always wants to protect the territory and people of the "headquarters" she established. That headquarters has Bach, a good-natured, studious boy next door; Thu "butter tube" with outstanding ability to calculate money; Bien, an extremely affectionate, hard-working and skillful orphan boy; and Duc, a lovely, mischievous girl who admires Tu immensely.

The children had a bright and colorful childhood, full of mischief and fights, but also sweet and profound moments of friendship. But nothing lasts forever, and an incident happened that forced the children to separate and have their own lives.

The journey of the characters in "One millimeter away from you" is a journey to find friends, awakening childhood memories and dreams.

The film is also the "debut" of many talented young people such as Thuc Phuong, Gia Long, Minh Xiu, Duc Phong, Quynh Trang, Son Tung. Along with that is the reunion of the beloved cast, transformed into members of the "headquarters" Lang May in their adulthood such as Minh Huyen, Ha Viet Dung, Huynh Anh, Trong Lan, Quynh Chau...

With this film, the director duo Tran Trong Khoi and Pham Gia Phuong have chosen a new path, affirming that they are not only "nailing" their names to the crime film genre like "Black Medicine" and "The Unique Path."

“1 millimeter away from you” officially airs on VTV3 at 8:00 p.m. every Thursday and Friday./.
