From November 1 to December 31, vehicles are banned from crossing Long Bien Bridge towards the center of Hanoi.

The road to Long Bien Bridge will ban the entire road for non-motorized vehicles from Bo De ward to Hoan Kiem ward during the construction period from November 1 to December 31, 2025.

Hanoi Department of Construction has just announced the adjustment of traffic organization to serve the construction of the periodic repair project of Tran Nhat Duat bridge Km2+215, Hanoi-Dong Dang railway line in Hoan Kiem ward, Hanoi city.

Accordingly, the road to Long Bien bridge will completely ban the road for non-motorized vehicles from Bo De ward to Hoan Kiem ward during the construction period (61 days, from November 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025). Vehicles will be able to travel as follows: on Long Bien-Xuan Quan road via Chuong Duong bridge.

On Tran Nhat Duat street, barriers are set up to regulate traffic on Tran Nhat Duat street within the construction area.

Specifically, the mobile barrier occupies 6.5m of road surface (the remaining road surface width is 6.5m) for 20 days. The hard barrier occupies 5.6m of road surface (the remaining road surface width is 8m) for 35 days (from November 16 to December 21, 2025), including 4 nights (from 10pm to 4am the next day, from November 16 to 30, 2025) the mobile barrier occupies 9.6m of road surface (the remaining road surface width is 4m).

The Department of Construction also requires investors to arrange barriers, stretch reflective tape, install warning signs, lighting, and night lights at the construction site to ensure safety for people and vehicles participating in traffic.

The investor directs the construction unit to coordinate with the Hanoi City Traffic Management and Operation Center to ensure traffic safety during the construction process; arrange for traffic guidance personnel to coordinate with the traffic police and local authorities to guide vehicles to ensure traffic safety, avoid traffic congestion in the construction area, on the bypass and provide remote guidance to vehicles at the intersection.

The Department of Construction also requested the Traffic Police Department (Hanoi City Police) to coordinate and guide traffic organization for vehicles participating in traffic to ensure traffic safety and avoid traffic jams...

Earlier, on the morning of October 29, many residents living in the old Long Bien district and passersby were surprised to see Long Bien bridge barricaded for periodic repair work.

All vehicles and traffic participants cannot move across Long Bien bridge but must take a detour to Chuong Duong bridge, causing traffic congestion in this area during morning rush hour.

Immediately after receiving information about the traffic jam problem, the Department of Construction requested the construction unit to remove the barrier because it had not previously announced the traffic diversion plan to the people.
