
On the morning of October 29, Le Thanh Nghi Ward Trade Union held its first Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Comrades: Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Nguyen Anh Tuan, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong city, President of the City Labor Federation attended.

Speaking at the congress, comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, acknowledged the efforts of the Ward Union Executive Committee in quickly stabilizing the organization and uniting to well perform the assigned tasks.
He suggested that in the new term, union officials and members actively innovate, create, strengthen digital transformation in union work, and innovate union activities to attract union members to participate.
Le Thanh Nghi Ward is a central ward with full conditions for development, a long tradition, favorable for all aspects of socio -economic development. Therefore, the ward union needs to promote its strengths, improve the quality and quantity of its activities. In particular, it must promote its role in protecting the rights and benefits of workers, creating trust among union members in the organization.

Le Thanh Nghi Ward Trade Union currently manages 75 grassroots trade unions with more than 8,000 union members. With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", in the new term, Le Thanh Nghi Ward Trade Union strives to develop 300 - 500 union members/year, establish 2 - 4 grassroots trade unions in the non-state enterprise sector. Strive for at least 80% of enterprises with grassroots trade unions to organize negotiations and sign collective labor agreements. 90% of grassroots trade unions complete their tasks well or better. During the term, the ward strives to have at least 5,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances receive direct support from the trade union.
