On the morning of October 29th, the 315th Division mobilized forces to Duy Nghia commune ( Da Nang ) to coordinate with local authorities in reinforcing the seawall that had been damaged by waves, ensuring the safety of residential areas along the Thu Bon River.
Earlier, at around 6:00 AM on October 29th, residents discovered large waves collapsing a section of the embankment, causing seawater to flood inland, severely eroding the shoreline and creating a strong current. Facing the risk of widespread erosion, the Duy Nghia commune authorities urgently requested military assistance to address the problem.
Immediately afterwards, the 315th Division (Military Region 5) mobilized dozens of officers and soldiers along with specialized equipment to the scene to coordinate with local forces and residents in reinforcing the embankment. The soldiers quickly patched up the broken sections, using hundreds of sandbags and stones to block the water and strengthen the embankment amidst heavy rain and strong winds.

At the same time, local authorities cordoned off the dangerous area, temporarily prohibiting people from traveling through the collapsed section of the embankment, and made plans to relocate high-risk households away from the vulnerable area.
Earlier, on the afternoon of October 28th, the 315th Division also deployed forces, vehicles, and equipment to Duy Nghia commune to support flood response efforts. Currently, recovery work is still underway, and forces remain on standby at the scene, ready to respond if the weather deteriorates.
