Go behind, progress fast
Muay TP.HCM and the "undefeated" boxer Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat were extremely proud of the past 15 years on his solemn birthday. Compared to other traditional martial arts such as taekwondo, judo or boxing, Muay Vietnam in general and Muay TP.HCM in particular is not a sport with a long history. This martial art has a late start, originating from a playground that attracts the martial arts community thanks to its high expertise and unique entertainment value of the Thai people and has only been recognized in the past 20 years.
But along with the development of Muay in the region and the world , Vietnam has quickly approached and integrated quickly, becoming a significant force, bringing much joy and pride to the country in the international arena. One of those achievements is the birth and always strong steps of the HCMC Muay Federation in 2000. The mark of the past 15 years has affirmed this correct progress with a series of glorious achievements.

One of the first people to lay the foundation for this formation was Mr. Nguyen Thanh Doan, former Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Boxing Association and former Vice Chairman of the Asian Muay Federation, who emotionally recalled at the 15th anniversary ceremony: "In 1998, I was one of the people who brought Vietnamese Muay fighters to participate in the ASIAD. Everything was very confusing at that time. We participated, learned and saw that Thai people's physique was no different from ours. They played this sport well, so why not Vietnam? After boxer Giap Trung Thang won a silver medal in the 51 kg weight class at this congress, we were determined to promote the development of this sport in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam. Thanks to the support of the sports industry leaders and the determination and consensus of Muay lovers, in 2009 Muay was included in the Asian Indoor Games hosted by Vietnam. From there, the Ho Chi Minh City Muay Federation was born in 2009. 2010".

In addition, the federation has coordinated to bring Muay into extracurricular activities at Hoa Sen, FPT, Hong Bang universities and many other centers with nearly 1,000 students participating, creating conditions for them to practice and develop themselves through practicing Muay.
Muay TP.HCM has also won 270 national medals, and 90 international medals, along with first and second place in the national delegation for 15 years. And many professional championship belts such as: Thaifight, One champship, All Star fight, MTGP, WBC, WMC, notably names like Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat (world and World games gold medal), Le Hoang Duc, Vo Van Dai, Huynh Ha Huu Hieu, Nguyen Thanh Tung, who have won many Asian medals.
