Students who are alumni of high schools have connected and awarded scholarships to their "juniors".

These are students currently studying at the school, each voluntarily contributing 500,000 or 1 million VND to the scholarship fund to bring learning opportunities to "junior" students studying at their old high school.

Dinh Thi Giau, a second-year marketing student, said that when she entered university two years ago, she was always worried about the financial burden, so when she received a scholarship from the school, Giau wanted to contribute a part to support other disadvantaged students. "After I graduate, I will definitely continue to contribute to this scholarship fund," Giau said.

Dinh Thi Giau, a second-year marketing student, spoke emotionally while spreading the spirit of sharing.

Not only that, many former students who received full scholarships also returned, voluntarily deducting 500,000 or 1 million VND from their first month's salary to help share the financial burden with 12th grade students in difficult circumstances who are at risk of not having enough money to study at university.

Tran Le Hai Binh, a former computer science student who received a full scholarship from the school, said: "Previously, when I was a high school student, I tried to find a scholarship so that I could pursue my favorite major, continue my university dream and reduce the financial burden on my family. I understand the worries of students when standing at the threshold of life: to continue studying or to drop out."

That is the reason why Hai Binh returned to school to contribute a small part of himself to the "Continuing the Journey" scholarship fund. Former students Tran Nguyen Tuong Vi, Ngo My Hanh... also contributed 1 million VND each to the scholarship fund.

" While we are sitting here, in a cozy space, out there are many students standing at the threshold of whether to continue studying at university or stop to worry about making a living," said Master Cao Quang Tu, Head of Admissions and Student Affairs at Saigon International University.

According to Master Tu, this scholarship program is like a cycle, the previous generation will support the next generation, the students at the high school they once attended.

"We hope that students will spend some time to bring these scholarships back to their high schools. Because when you give away those values, you will receive many other better values in this life. We will also continue to call on philanthropists and businesses to accompany the school in maintaining these scholarships for the following years," shared Master Tu.
