Students start up with a series of applications for hiring nurses, clothes, and booking cars

Applications for hiring caregivers, nurses, car booking, and clothing rental... are extremely creative startup initiatives of students from the School of Business and Administration.

The School of Business and Management (HSB), Vietnam National University, Hanoi, has just successfully organized the final round of the 2025 Creative Startup Competition. This is an outstanding activity in the training strategy combining theory with practice of HSB, a pioneering school in nurturing a generation of creative, courageous and socially responsible entrepreneurs.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Dinh Phi, Principal of HSB, entrepreneurship is not only an extracurricular activity but also a core educational method of the school.

"The competition affirms the maturity of HSB students' thinking, courage and aspiration in solving practical social problems. The fact that many startup ideas have been realized and attracted investment is a clear demonstration of the training strategy of 'learning to start a business' that the school is steadfastly pursuing," Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Dinh Phi emphasized.

At the final round, 10 projects that were considered to demonstrate innovation, high practical applicability and strong entrepreneurial spirit of students competed, including:

Driver booking application (DRISA); Smart market management solution software (E-Market); Application connecting suppliers, sponsors with consumers in the food industry (FoodLink); Smart directional stick supporting the visually impaired (GuideMate); Super-fast NFC payment e-wallet platform (HaMinGo).

24/7 nursing and care rental application (HealthMate); Psychological and art therapy for children with special syndromes (HunchWings); Solution to support small and medium-sized enterprises to optimize user-generated content (Pulse X); Multi-purpose clothing rental technology platform from affordable to high-end (Snaap); Modern online platform to support high school students' learning and analyze university admission information (Unlock Tomorrow's University).

Mr. Ha Anh Tuan, Chairman of Vinalink Media, assessed that all 10 projects met the criteria for creativity. Many of the ideas were feasible, focusing on solving practical problems, as well as touching the bottlenecks of the market. This shows that HSB is training generations of students who are not only creative but also have a strong practical spirit.

"Students not only have creative ideas but also possess solid programming skills, creating impressive applications that contribute to solving technological problems effectively," said Mr. Tuan.

In the end, the project: Application connecting suppliers, sponsors with consumers in the food industry (FoodLink) won First Prize of the contest.

Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Dinh Phi assessed that this is a creative project, full of humanity and community responsibility, as it contributes to reducing food waste. The school is committed to accompanying and creating all favorable conditions for students to implement and develop the project.

"We have complete faith in the young generation - the precious assets of the country. Supporting and assisting them today is nurturing and nurturing potential young entrepreneurs in the future," Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Dinh Phi expressed.

The first season of the competition (held in 2024) attracted the participation of a large number of students, arousing a strong entrepreneurial spirit among young people. Many teams brought new, creative ideas with high social applicability.

A typical example is the project that won the Second Prize - MSE (Mental Health Solutions for Enterprises), which later established a company and successfully raised 1 billion VND in capital on the program "Billion Dollar Deal - Shark Tank Vietnam".
