The Prime Minister proposed that Hoa Dien Group invest and contribute to ensuring energy security for Vietnam.

Pleased to meet again Mr. Bang Cuong Binh and the delegation visiting and working in Vietnam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh believes that the working trip in Vietnam and the exchanges and contacts with relevant ministries, agencies, businesses and partners will achieve many good and substantive results.

Appreciating the fact that Hoa Dien Group has increasingly expanded its business scale and achieved many achievements in recent times, the Prime Minister said that Vietnam is striving to achieve an 8% growth rate in 2025 and double digits in the following years, so the demand for electricity is also increasing, especially the demand for clean electricity, serving rapid and sustainable development.

The Vietnamese Government welcomes foreign and Chinese enterprises to expand their investment and business in Vietnam, especially in areas that are suitable for sustainable development needs, in line with China's strengths, and beneficial to both sides, including the energy sector.

Thanking Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh for taking the time to receive the delegation, as well as supporting the Group's investment cooperation in Vietnam, Mr. Bang Cuong Binh said that the Group is a 100% state-owned enterprise, 13 consecutive years in the list of 500 largest enterprises in the world, operating in 4 main areas: High-end technical equipment and systems, investment and construction of power plants, clean energy, environmental protection in the electricity industry.

Hoa Dien Group has invested about 2.8 billion USD in power projects in Vietnam with a total installed capacity of 1.5 GW including Duyen Hai Thermal Power Plant; 4 wind power projects in Dak Lak. The Group wishes to continue investing in developing the renewable energy industry in Vietnam, including implementing more biomass power, wind power, and energy storage projects in Dak Lak, Tra Vinh, Quang Tri, Lam Dong; cooperating with research institutes and universities in Vietnam to promote technology transfer and human resource training...

Mr. Bang Cuong Binh proposed that the Vietnamese Government soon complete investment policies for green energy projects such as wind power, solar power, biomass, hydrogen, energy storage and pumped storage hydropower, especially preferential policies for technology to upgrade traditional energy, save energy, low emissions and flexibly renovate coal-fired thermal power plants.

In the immediate future, he proposed that the Prime Minister direct support to remove difficulties for existing projects, speed up the process of acceptance, approval and putting into commercial operation; create favorable conditions for the Group in selecting locations, using land, and implementing new projects.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated and welcomed the growth of Huadian Group, contributing to the development of China; and thanked the Group for its assistance to Vietnam Electricity Group in consulting, saving energy, implementing green and sustainable energy development, and investing in power projects in Vietnam.

Emphasizing that Vietnam and China are both comrades and brothers, the Vietnam-China relationship is developing well, creating a good foundation for economic-trade-investment cooperation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that Hoa Dien Group promote its strengths and achievements, apply them creatively and flexibly in Vietnam's conditions, contributing to ensuring energy security for Vietnam, including helping Vietnam Electricity Group in science and technology of the electricity industry, meeting the country's development needs in the coming time.

Wishing Hoa Dien Group to successfully implement the projects it has invested in Vietnam, the Prime Minister welcomed the Group to continue investing in more green energy projects such as wind power, solar power, biomass, hydrogen, energy storage and pumped storage hydropower in Vietnam, investing, developing production, trading, research and development... in the spirit of "harmonizing benefits, sharing risks; harmonizing interests between the state, people and businesses".

Directing ministries, branches and localities to coordinate with Hoa Dien Group to remove obstacles in projects, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh wished the Group more success in investing and doing business in Vietnam as it has done in China and some other countries.
