The number of dissolved enterprises increased by 35% compared to the same period last year.

According to the Department of Planning and Investment, in the first quarter of 2024, this unit granted new business registrations to 133 enterprises, with registered capital of VND 625.66 billion (down 11.3% in number of enterprises and 77.4% in capital compared to the same period last year).

The province has 196 enterprises temporarily suspended operations (down 2% compared to the same period), 31 enterprises dissolved (up 35% compared to the same period). As of March 31, the number of enterprises operating in the province is 3,679, with a total registered capital of more than 73,006 billion VND.

The Provincial People's Committee has directed departments, branches and localities to continue focusing on implementing solutions to support reducing the cost burden for businesses, especially small and medium enterprises; creating a favorable environment to support innovative businesses; ensuring business rights, equal access to resources and business opportunities for businesses.

At the same time, the Department of Planning and Investment advises to further promote the role of the working group established under Decision 666/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman, to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, support businesses, investors, and investment projects in the province, especially large projects, creating a spreading effect.
