(HNMO) - On the evening of April 14, an art program to welcome the 12th Vietnam - France Local Cooperation Conference and the opening ceremony of the "Colors of Vietnam" space and the "Strolling in France" festival took place at Ly Thai To Square and the walking space around Hoan Kiem Lake.
Attending the program, on the Vietnamese side were: Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Social Committee of the National Assembly, Chairman of the Vietnam - France Friendship Parliamentarians' Group in the National Assembly, Chairman of the Vietnam - France Friendship and Cooperation Association Nguyen Thuy Anh; Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam Le Thi Thu Hang, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Phuong Nga, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council Pham Qui Tien, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen.
On the French side, there were: Ms. Catherine Deroche, Chairwoman of the Social Affairs Committee and Chairwoman of the France-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians' Group at the French Senate, representative of the President of the French Senate, Head of the official delegation of French localities; Mr. Jean-Paul Guihaume, Ambassador in charge of local affairs of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs; Mr. Jean-Claude Dardelet, Deputy Mayor of Toulouse, Vice President of the Toulouse Metropolitan Region, Member of the Executive Board of the Association of French localities; Mr. Nicolas Warnery, French Ambassador to Vietnam.
Also attending the program were representatives of ministries, departments, central agencies and localities of Vietnam, France...
In his opening speech, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen said that the art program, the opening ceremony of the "Colors of Vietnam" space and the "Strolling in France" festival - are special exchange events organized by the Hanoi People's Committee together with the French Embassy in Vietnam to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations, 10 years of strategic partnership between Vietnam and France and to welcome the 12th Vietnam - France Local Cooperation Conference.
Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen expressed his joy when a large number of delegates were present at Ly Thai To flower garden, an iconic space of the capital Hanoi, to begin a special tour to localities of France and Vietnam through cultural and culinary experiences.
Designed in a long open space, “Colors of Vietnam” will bring visitors the charming colors of Vietnam’s regions, diverse in landscape, rich in identity, dynamic in development and integration.
The “Strolling France” festival, after two successful events in 2018 and 2020, this time focuses on bringing to the people of the capital and visitors the wonderful flavors of the world’s most sophisticated cuisine, and experiences of French technology, cosmetics and furniture products through booths of typical French businesses.
French Ambassador to Vietnam Nicolas Warnery said that after 3 years of interruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the two countries have the opportunity to organize the event "Colors of Vietnam" and the festival "Strolling in France" with hundreds of booths and events, demonstrating the strength of the France - Vietnam relationship. The two events are even more meaningful when they are held on the occasion of the 12th Vietnam - France Local Cooperation Conference. Ambassador Nicolas Warnery thanked the warm welcome and organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hanoi City, units and businesses that helped create a cultural space, promoting Vietnam - France cooperation.
Held for the first time in parallel in the pedestrian space, in the ancient center of Hanoi, the two events “Colors of Vietnam” and the festival “Strolling in France” are meaningful gifts of friendship, highlights of cultural exchange with a strong message of cooperation and peace, development and looking towards the future.
The art program was staged in a combination of classical French style and Hanoi - Vietnam culture, including French songs, French songs with Vietnamese lyrics and some songs about Hanoi and Vietnam. Bonjour Vietnam; L'amour, les baguettes, Paris; Mushup: Je t'aime (Em), Je Ne Veux Pas, Travailler La vie en rose and Hanoia fashion show; Dong Ho Inspiration dance; song: Le Temps Des Cethedrales (excerpt from the musical The Hunchback of Notre Dame Cathedral); C'est de l'eau and Vietnamese songs: Hanoi 12 seasons of flowers; Hello Hanoi of the future.
The art program has the participation of 150 artists, including artists: Tung Duong, Tien Hung, Khanh Linh, Thanh Binh, Hong Ngoc, Dong Lan as well as Ha Thanh Dance Group, Emmy Dance Group, Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theater, Thang Long National Orchestra, brother band, Thang Long band... Through that, the program introduces the culture, people, country as well as the lasting friendship of the two countries.
