(Baoquangngai.vn) - Contractors constructing the North-South Expressway section through Quang Ngai province are taking advantage of favorable weather, mobilizing maximum human resources, machinery, overtime, and shifts, making efforts to construct project items, striving to achieve the highest output.
Bustling construction site
It was only 7 o'clock, but at the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway construction site, the section through Nghia Ky commune (Tu Nghia), the sun was already blazing and the air was hot. Trucks carrying soil, sand, and construction materials lined up to enter the construction site. Excavators, bulldozers, vibratory rollers of all kinds... were operating at full capacity. All construction teams, engineers, workers, and mechanics were diligently sticking to the construction site.
The working atmosphere at the construction site was pushed up high, everyone was enthusiastic with the determination to complete their work to speed up the project progress. Worker Huynh Ba Luyen shared that taking advantage of the dry weather, the company mobilized human resources, vehicles to work overtime, and increase shifts to speed up the project progress, ensuring the requirements from the investor. In order to soon bring the project to the finish line on schedule, we workers also always encourage each other to try to stick to the construction site to work for the common goal.

Package XL01 is 30 km long, passing through 3 districts of Tu Nghia, Nghia Hanh and Mo Duc. Immediately after the localities handed over the clean land and the material mines were fully provided, the contractors and construction units focused on human resources and machinery to work in 3 shifts and 4 teams to speed up the construction progress of all items on the construction site.
Currently, in the XL01 package, contractors are implementing 15 road construction projects, with an average volume of 30,000 m3 of earth filling per day. All 31 bridges are under construction, of which 23 bridges have completed bored pile construction and continue with important items of the project.

Commander of XL01 package Tran Van Chi said that after the localities handed over the land, the unit immediately brought in vehicles to start construction. Determined to complete the roadbed by September this year. The contractor also worked with joint venture units to complete important items to bring the project to the finish line in 2025.
“We have increased the number of motorbikes and equipment by one and a half times the required number to speed up the progress, trying to complete the roadbed construction work by September 30. For the asphalt concrete category, the contractor is also focusing on designing and testing the station, the plan is to pave the first meters of this XL01 package by the end of August,” said Commander of XL01 package Tran Van Chi.

For the XL02 package passing through Duc Pho town, the length is over 27 km, including 29 bridges and 2 tunnels. Currently, contractors and construction units are deploying 18 construction teams, mobilizing nearly 500 machines, vehicles and more than 1,400 personnel working in 3 shifts, 4 crews; at the same time, simultaneously deploying construction of 29/29 bridges.
Efforts to speed up progress
The North-South Expressway Construction Investment Project, Eastern section, Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon, is 88 km long, of which the section through Quang Ngai province is 60.3 km long. Currently, the construction site has nearly 4,000 personnel and more than 1,600 pieces of equipment, deploying 43 construction teams, organizing work in 3 shifts, 4 crews, and the tunnel items are under construction 24/24 without rest.

Up to now, the entire route has completed the construction of the main roadbed, reaching about 7.6/10.6 million m3 of fill. The tunnel system has cleared tunnel 1 and tunnel 2, and is implementing the tunnel lining construction. Tunnel 3 alone has dug 2,875/6,400m, reaching about 44%. For the bridge system, 77 bridges have been simultaneously constructed, of which 23 bridges have deployed the installation of girders and the construction of the bridge deck.
The sewer system alone has organized the construction of 360/397 sewers of all types, 78/81 underpasses for people and deployed the construction of crushed stone aggregates on completed sections of K98 dirt roads as well as the construction of traffic safety equipment... The cumulative output to date has reached more than 5,180 billion VND, equivalent to more than 39% of the total contract volume.

Deo Ca Group aims to reach a cumulative output of VND8,200 billion by the end of 2024, equivalent to 61% of the total contract volume; complete construction of tunnel No. 1, tunnel No. 2, digging tunnel No. 3 reaching 5,000/6,400m; complete 63/77 bridges. For road construction items, Deo Ca Group strives to complete the K95 embankment before the 2024 rainy season; complete the main culvert, construct crushed stone aggregate, etc.
