Exciting Sports Festival of Tuong Mai Ward

On the morning of October 26, the People's Committee of Tuong Mai ward held the opening ceremony of the 1st Sports Congress in 2025.

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Tuong Mai Ward, Dao Thi Thu Hang, emphasized that the Congress is a practical activity to welcome the success of the 18th Hanoi Party Congress and move towards the upcoming Capital Sports Congress.

The opening ceremony took place in a vibrant atmosphere, full of sportsmanship, with a gymnastic performance by primary and secondary school students, a health exercise by the elderly and a professional martial arts performance by local people. After the opening ceremony, the athletes entered the final round of the tug of war.

The 1st Tuong Mai Ward Sports Festival in 2025 was held from October 14 to 27 with 8 competitions: Badminton, table tennis, chess, shuttlecock, swimming, health care, tug of war and folk dance. The competitions attracted hundreds of athletes who are officials, civil servants, teachers, students, youth union members and local people.

With the spirit of solidarity - honesty - nobility in sports, the 1st Tuong Mai Ward Sports Congress in 2025 is truly a great festival, affirming the position of the grassroots sports movement, contributing to improving the health and spiritual life of the people, creating new momentum for Tuong Mai Ward to develop sustainably in the new period.

Previously, on the morning of October 21, Tuong Mai ward held a ceremony to ask for fire - to light - carry the Congress torch at Tuong Mai communal house and the Memorial Site of comrade Hoang Van Thu. The sacred fire was lit by Party Secretary and Chairman of Tuong Mai ward People's Council Vo Xuan Trong, symbolizing the will, determination and spirit of honest and noble sportsmanship. After the ceremony, the torch procession moved through the main streets, to spread the spirit of sportsmanship.
