In the summer of 2025, Da Nang Children's Palace will organize many diverse and attractive programs for children. Specifically, it will organize free swimming classes to equip children with skills to prevent drowning accidents; the "Shining Talents" program will discover and nurture artistic talents for students; workshops to practice English communication skills, presentation, teamwork... to build confidence and integration ability for children.
Through these activities, children not only have fun and learn in a healthy environment but also receive comprehensive development in terms of physical, intellectual and spiritual aspects. At the same time, this is also a practical solution to support families and schools ineducating and managing children during the summer.
At the Da Nang Museum, every day, the unit welcomes hundreds of children to visit and learn about the history, culture and traditions of their homeland. Through hands-on activities, children not only access knowledge in a vivid way but also arouse their love for their homeland and national pride.
Ha Viet Anh (6th grade student, Hai Chau ward) said: “Visiting the Da Nang Museum helps me understand more about the history of the city I live in. I am impressed with the artifacts and I like participating in experiential activities the most. I not only learn many useful things but also have moments of relaxation.”
Every morning at around 8am, many parents bring their children to the Da Nang General Science Library to participate in useful summer activities. Here, programs are organized according to weekly themes, focusing on practicing English, soft skills, creative thinking and promoting reading.
The friendly, modern space and lively organization methods have created excitement for children. In addition to reading, children can also participate in intellectual games, group activities, and thematic book discussions, helping to develop critical thinking, communication skills, and a spirit of cooperation.
As a direct instructor, Mr. Nguyen Tan Hai Trieu (specialist at the Da Nang Social Work Center) shared that the students participating are mainly between the ages of 7 and 12. Therefore, the teaching method needs to be flexible, close and suitable for the psychology of young children. During the teaching process, special attention is paid to experience and handling situations, helping students to easily absorb, form safe reflexes, remember for a long time and apply effectively in daily life.
According to Vu Thi An, Deputy Director of the Da Nang General Science Library, every day, the library welcomes about 300 children to participate in activities, and on weekends, it can reach up to 400 children. To meet the needs of parents and students, the library regularly organizes attractive experiential activities, designed according to each topic and posts information on the fanpage for parents to easily follow and register.
