These days, at the Center for National Defense and Security Education (GDQP&AN) of Hanoi Pedagogical University 2, the emulation movement has truly spread widely and enthusiastically across all aspects of work, aiming to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2025) and the 36th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2025).

From the beginning of December, the Center launched a "high-intensity" emulation campaign with key objectives, focusing not only on improving the quality of national defense and security education, but also on cultivating discipline, organizational awareness, and establishing a regular learning environment for students; while simultaneously promoting cultural, artistic, physical education, and sports activities, and building a regular, green, clean, and beautiful unit environment.

First, in order to improve the quality of national defense and security education for students (regular students majoring in National Defense and Security Education and certificate students ofFPT University participating in the 266th National Defense and Security Education course), during this peak emulation period, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Center have focused on leading and closely directing the maintenance and improvement of teaching quality with practical and specific methods and approaches such as: "Good Classroom Hours", "Student Self-Managed Classroom Hours", and "Good Training Sessions".

In addition, the Center organizes competitions and sports events right on the training grounds with contents such as drill regulations, disassembling and assembling weapons, shooting AK submachine guns, infantry combat techniques and tactics, etc. The emulation movement in training has created a clear change, contributing to improving the quality of learning, forming self-awareness and arousing the interest of students in the process of studying National Defense and Security Education.

Along with promoting activities to improve the quality of national defense and security education for students, the Center always pays attention to and focuses on cultivating organizational discipline and building a regular and orderly learning process in national defense and security education. The close attention to detail and meticulousness of the officers and the emulation teams in the companies have created a clear transformation in the implementation of unit discipline and regulations; internal affairs and sanitation work are becoming more neat, clean, orderly, and regular.

Furthermore, the unit's environmental landscaping activities have always received due attention. With the joint efforts of teachers and students over the past time, the Center has made a significant contribution to building a well-organized unit with a green, clean, and beautiful landscape, forming a united, exemplary, friendly, cheerful, and healthy military pedagogical culture, leaving many positive feelings and impressions on students studying National Defense and Security Education here.

During this peak emulation period, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Center for National Defense and Security Education at Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 paid attention to leading and directing the functional departments, faculties, companies, and student organizations to effectively organize many extracurricular activities, cultural and artistic movements, and sports such as football, volleyball, basketball, pickleball, tug-of-war, etc.

In particular, the Center focuses on organizing activities with profound educational significance, such as reading memoirs, watching films, and interacting with the film crew of "The Underground Tunnels," thereby contributing to fostering love for the homeland and country, arousing national pride and self-respect; and at the same time helping students better understand their civic responsibilities and awareness of protecting the Fatherland in the current revolutionary period.

For full-time students, the emulation movement also focuses on organizing training and participating in the school's pedagogical skills competition for the 2025-2026 academic year, ensuring quality and effectiveness. Simultaneously, staff and employees of the Center actively and fully participate in the emulation movements launched by Hanoi Pedagogical University 2, aiming to celebrate the 58th anniversary of the University's founding, 50 years of training in Xuan Hoa (Phu Tho), and the awarding of the Third-Class Labor Medal.

This intensive emulation campaign is not only of practical significance in achieving accomplishments to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 36th anniversary of the National Defense Day, but also an opportunity for cadres, officials, employees, and students of the unit to demonstrate their sense of responsibility towards assigned political tasks, their determination to cultivate character and conduct, and to build a joyful, healthy, and beneficial lifestyle.

Through competitive activities, each student not only gains and strengthens their knowledge of military affairs and national defense, but also matures in terms of character, demeanor, and organizational discipline.

The Center for National Defense and Security Education is a unit under Hanoi Pedagogical University 2, responsible for providing national defense and security education to students; training national defense and security education teachers; and conducting military pedagogical research. Over more than 25 years of development, the Center has gradually progressed, becoming one of the leading centers for national defense and security education nationwide in terms of prestige and quality, a reliable destination for university and college students seeking national defense and security education. As of October 2025, the Center had completed 265 courses, awarding national defense and security education certificates to 380,000 students from 32 universities and colleges in Hanoi and Phu Tho province.
