With consistent performance and impressive competitive spirit, Nguyen Hai Trung Hieu, a student in class 11A4at FPT Hai Phong Secondary and High School, won second place in Week 2 - Month 2 - Quarter 1 of the 26th season of "Road to Olympia," and also successfully secured a ticket to the monthly competition. This achievement not only demonstrates Hieu's quick thinking ability and solid knowledge but also marks an important step in his growth in this prestigious intellectual competition for high school students.
However, few people know that before stepping onto that big stage, Hieu's journey didn't always begin with confidence. Perhaps, it's necessary to go through uncertain times, moments when one wants to stop, for a person to learn how to shine in their own unique way. And for Nguyen Hai Trung Hieu, that's exactly what his journey has been like.

“If I were to compare this journey to a movie, I would choose ‘When the Mountain Flowers Bloom.’ Not because of the setting or the plot, but because the spirit of the film resonated deeply with me. It’s the journey of a teacher who doesn’t give up in the face of adversity, always yearning to give students learning opportunities, and the relentless efforts of her students. In particular, the character of teacher Truong Que Mai reminds me of my own homeroom teacher – someone who always energized her students with her quiet patience and unwavering trust,” Trung Hieu confided.
Like many other students, Hieu once felt pressured about grades, achievements, or simply felt he wasn't the best. But then, experiences and encouragement from his teachers made him realize that giving up is the real failure, and if he continued to wallow in self-doubt and invisible pressure, he would never reach his dreams.
With the belief that one's own future is written, Trung Hieu has actively participated in extracurricular activities throughout his journey, taking part in numerous competitions and achieving many remarkable accomplishments such as: Outstanding Student title; GPA of 9.5; Third Prize at the City level in the Competition for Initiatives to Ensure School Order on Preventing School Violence and Preventing Illegal Child Labor in the 2025 school year.
At the same time, Hieu is always ready to take risks and gain experience in other fields such as: representing the school as a contestant in "School Teen," and being a delegate for the Model United Nations - VINIMUN 25' competition.

Trung Hieu excitedly shared: “Actually, the most valuable thing I've gained isn't just my achievements in the Olympia competition or other academic results, but the life experiences and knowledge that aren't found in textbooks. FPT School Hai Phong has provided all of that through its innovative teaching methods, a series of events throughout the school year, and the teachers' constant care for their students.”
From the Olympia competition to academic projects, from the classroom to the extracurricular stage – Trung Hieu's journey is proof that there is no brilliant path without effort. And above all, for Trung Hieu, this brilliant journey will continue because he will certainly not give up, always striving his best to become a better version of himself every day.
