Early completion of legal framework to stabilize online public services in customs sector

Since the beginning of the year, all records arising under the public service category at the Customs Branch of Region XV have been processed electronically, with 1,592 records received, expected to reach 1,672 records by the end of June. Of the 225 administrative procedures in the customs sector, 132 procedures have been provided with full online public services, helping to shorten the time and improve processing efficiency.

Officers of the Customs Branch of Region XV work on the online public service system, contributing to improving the efficiency of administrative procedures.

However, IT equipment maintenance and upkeep is facing difficulties due to the lack of specific technical standards and maintenance funding from 2024. This situation puts the system at risk of degradation and disruption of public service operations.

The Customs Department recommends that relevant agencies promptly complete the legal framework and provide timely funding, while strengthening supervision and improving technical capacity to ensure smooth operations and improve service quality in the digital age.
