At the meeting, Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huy Dung introduced the potential and advantages of socio-economic development of Thai Nguyen province, especially in the field of tea planting, processing and exporting. In addition to traditional tea export markets such as Taiwan (China) and Afghanistan, Pakistan is also an important market. Although the volume and value of Thai Nguyen's tea exports to Pakistan have recently shown signs of a slight decrease due to some objective factors, this market still maintains its attraction. Currently, Thai Nguyen has two units exporting tea directly to Pakistan, but the export value is still modest. The Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee expressed his hope that in the coming time, there will be closer connections, towards signing cooperation agreements between enterprises and tea production cooperatives of Thai Nguyen with Pakistani partners, in order to turn Thai Nguyen tea into an input material for the food and pharmaceutical industries in Pakistan.
Ambassador Kohdayar Mari presented the book “The Vibrant Colors of Pakistan” to Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huy Dung.
Ambassador Kohdayar Mari thanked the leaders of Thai Nguyen province for their warm welcome and said that Pakistan has a population of about 240 million people, of which 98% of people prefer tea and tea products in their daily lives. The Ambassador pledged to support the connection, introduction and promotion of Thai Nguyen's tea production potential to the business community and consumers of Pakistan, in order to promote the consumption of Thai Nguyen tea in this market.
Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huy Dung presented the book "Experience of the tea land - rich in identity" to Ambassador Kohdayar Mari.
On the same afternoon, the delegation of the Pakistani Embassy will offer incense and visit the ATK Dinh Hoa National Historical Site; and visit a number of tea production facilities in the province.
