Colonel Bui Van Son, Deputy Commander of the Son La Provincial Military Command, delivered the opening remarks at the training course.

Over five days (from December 15th to 19th), the trainees studied and researched the following topics: the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of 11 Laws on military and national defense; decrees, circulars, and guidelines in the field of militia and self-defense forces when organizing local government at two levels.

The militia's work includes mobilizing the people to participate in resolving some complex local situations; guiding the activities of the commune/ward Military Command; commanding militia units to combat and refute false views on social media; practicing K54 pistol shooting (lesson 1b), drill regulations, combat techniques training methods, and militia tactics...

The training helps self-defense officers of agencies and organizations consolidate and firmly grasp the organization, methods, and content of the work to advise Party committees and agencies/organizations on managing and maintaining the operation of militia and reserve forces, and organizing the implementation of national defense and military tasks at agencies and units, ensuring uniformity, strictness, and compliance with regulations, meeting the requirements and tasks when implementing the two-tiered local government.
