Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to India Nguyen Thanh Hai emphasized that over the past decade, the Vietnam-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership has been increasingly consolidated and developed effectively. To realize each country’s development goals, innovation and science and technology must play a pivotal role, while startups are an important bridge to help the two sides strengthen ecosystem connectivity and open up future industries.

The Ambassador stated that the Startup Flight 2025 program is a vivid demonstration of that spirit of cooperation. With Vietnam's flexible business environment and ambitious young human resources, combined with India's large-scale technology ecosystem, the event will create a launching pad for cooperation, expand market opportunities and promote science and technology development for businesses of the two countries.

On the host side, Vice Chancellor of Amity University, Professor Balvinder Shukla affirmed that Amity University always considers innovation as a strategic pillar, ready to cooperate with international partners to promote training - incubation - investment connection programs. She said that Amity's goal is to form a "sustainable innovation corridor" between countries, in which Vietnam is an important partner thanks to the strong development speed of the startup ecosystem and the need for high-tech cooperation.

Within the framework of the event, startups from both countries participated in the orientation program, built business models, communication strategies and called for capital. Two teams representing Vietnam, MediFind and Green Choice, introduced themselves at the program. MediFind offers a solution for antibiotic use management, applying AI and big data to identify drugs from prescriptions, suggesting safe dosages and reminding patients. The product helps reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance - a growing global health problem. Green Choice introduces a circular economic model that utilizes the entire durian fruit, turning waste into valuable products such as dried durian, durian powder, organic substrates and microbial products. The model helps reduce waste, increase income and is consistent with SDG12 goals on sustainable production and consumption.

Indian startup IRUN DOC presented its highly accurate AI-powered IELTS test preparation platform that incorporates examiner assessments to provide personalized feedback in real time. The platform supports offline mode, gamification, and is 10 times cheaper than traditional test preparation courses. IRUN DOC aims to support 1 million learners in India and Vietnam in the next 5 years.

In an interview with a VNA reporter in New Delhi, Mr. Chu Quang Thai - Chairman of the National Council for Innovative Startups - said that the Startup Flight is an initiative of the Vietnamese Embassy in India and the innovation community to promote startup cooperation in the spirit of Resolutions 57, 59, 66, 68. The Go Global Vietnamese Enterprise Support Program initially focuses on India to increase trade, build a common startup community and deepen the strategic relationship between the two countries. With India's technological strengths and large market, the model creates opportunities for startups from both sides to expand cross-business, implement the "startup exchange" program, and aim to form potential projects and common unicorns in the future.

At the event, a memorandum of understanding was signed between partners of the two countries, thereby creating a foundation to promote long-term cooperation between Indian startups and Vietnamese innovation agencies. Many teams have initially built cooperative links, opening up prospects for market expansion and co-development of products in the two countries. Representatives of the parties agreed to continue developing similar connection programs in the future to make innovation a bridge of strategic cooperation between the two economies.
