T&T Group accompanies the program of 1 million trees covering Truong Sa special economic zone

Contribute to creating a "green shield" in the East Sea

Truong Sa – two sacred words engraved in the heart of every Vietnamese. It is not only the coordinates of the wind and waves, but also a symbol of indomitable spirit, strong will and burning love for the homeland. Every inch of land and wave here echoes the legend of sovereignty , of the steadfast island soldiers who stick to the sea and protect the sky day and night.

At the end of April 1975, when the first soldiers of the Vietnam People’s Army set foot on the islands in Truong Sa, the surrounding space was mainly… wind, sand and seagulls. Many islands had almost no shade, exposed to the scorching sun.

*To build a green ecosystem in Truong Sa, many meaningful programs have been launched.*

In that context, many movements to create a green ecosystem in Truong Sa have been launched. A typical example is the Greening Truong Sa program deployed by the Navy Command. After 4 years from 2021 to 2025, the army and people on the islands have planted 90,000 trees. But the goal of the Navy, of officers, soldiers and people as well as the wishes of people across the country does not stop there. They want much more than that. And the Hi Green Truong Sa program was born.

Launched in April 2025, HiGreen Truong Sa aims to mobilize social resources, contributing to the goal of planting 1 million trees to green the Truong Sa special zone, Khanh Hoa province. The program is expected to help protect the ecosystem on the islands, prevent erosion, minimize natural disasters, improve the living environment, and help the military and civilians feel secure working and living on the outpost islands of the Fatherland.

Not only stopping at the environmental aspect, HiGreen Truong Sa is also associated with three sustainable development goals of the United Nations, including: improving health and quality of life, climate action, and conserving marine resources and environment; at the same time, it is consistent with the orientation set out in Resolution No. 09-NQ/TW on building and developing Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

More specifically, each tree planted in Truong Sa not only contributes to improving the living environment for soldiers and people on the island, but is also a symbol of national sovereignty, of Vietnam's resilience and strength in the vast ocean and sky.

Realizing the importance and significance of the program, T&T Group of businessman Do Quang Hien has supported the campaign with 5 billion VND. The contribution is of great significance: it helps the Navy continue to implement the program on schedule, and contributes to creating sustainable values for the country. This is also an act of gratitude to the island soldiers and people on the front lines, affirming the commitment of Vietnamese private enterprises in the green development process, towards the Government's Net Zero goal.

Great affection for the sea, islands and country

In fact, it was not until joining HiGreen Truong Sa that T&T Group and businesses in the ecosystem of businessman Do Quang Hien showed their deep affection for the sea and islands. Before that, for many years, T&T Group had accompanied "Spring Truong Sa" - a meaningful program organized by the Navy Command, Vietnam Television and the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper.

In 2021, on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, "Mr. Hien" and the delegation of T&T Group visited and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of the forces on duty on Hon Khoai Island (Ca Mau). The delegation presented the units with many equipment and cash with a total value of about 3 billion VND.

In 2024, through the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Group of "Bau Hien" continues to donate 1 billion VND to support the military and people of Truong Sa island district, officers and soldiers of DK-1 platform. The entire fund will be used to build houses and install a water filtration system from seawater to serve the lives of the military and people of the island district and officers and soldiers of the platform.

Not only having great affection for the sea and islands, T&T Group also always actively responds to the policies of the Party, State and Government; pioneers in accompanying, contributing and supporting social responsibility activities, constantly spreading profound humanistic values, promoting the fine traditions of the nation towards a better future, for a strong and prosperous Vietnam.

With practical and timely contributions to the 1 million trees greening program in Truong Sa special zone this time, T&T Group and "Bau Hien" continue to affirm the spirit of "business associated with social service" that T&T Group has pursued throughout its development journey.
