Author Tran Ngoc Thinh (Vietsovpetro) won the Gold Medal at the 2024 Vietnam Art Photography Contest

After more than 3 months of launching, the Organizing Committee has received 9,500 works from 1,373 authors from 63 provinces and cities nationwide. The Art Council has selected 250 works from 194 authors to display at the exhibition, of which 33 excellent works were awarded, including 27 awards in the realism category and 6 awards in the conceptual category.

Specifically, in the category of realism photography, the Organizing Committee awarded 2 Gold Medals to the photo series “Colors of the city on the East Sea” by author Tran Ngoc Thinh (working at Vietsovpetro Joint Venture, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province) and the photo series “ Hai Phong sleepless nights” by author Vu Van Lam (Hai Phong). In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 5 Silver Medals, 7 Bronze Medals and 12 Encouragement Prizes for high-quality works.

Author Tran Ngoc Thinh, currently working at the Construction Enterprise of Vietsovpetro Joint Venture, has excellently received the Gold Medal at the Opening and Closing Ceremony of the Vietnam Artistic Photography Contest and Exhibition 2024. The photo series includes authentic photos of the Oil and Gas industry, of the work of Oil and Gas workers with the name "Colors of the city on the East Sea", which are beautiful moments and the majesty of oil and gas exploitation projects on the East Sea.

Tran Ngoc Thinh shared: “This is a large, prestigious and prestigious competition in the art photography community nationwide, held every two years. I am very honored and proud to have won the highest prize of the competition, and even more honored when the winning work shows the beauty and grandeur of the place where I am working. I also hope that this photo series can help viewers understand the achievements of Vietsovpetro, of the Vietnamese Oil and Gas industry, which have been built and developed throughout history.”

In the photographic works of author Tran Ngoc Thinh, the landscape, people and work of the Oil and Gas workers associated with the ocean, with massive steel structures… appear realistic and vivid. The works have been awarded prizes and displayed at exhibitions of Vietsovpetro, the Oil and Gas industry as well as in a number of other competitions.

The 2024 Vietnam Art Photography Exhibition displays more than 200 quality works by authors from all over the country. The exhibition takes place at the special national relic Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam ( Hanoi ) from October 4-14, 2024 and at building No. 15 Le Loi, Hue City, Thua Thien Hue Province from October 25-November 3, 2024.
