Vingroup's VIC stock has just hit the ceiling for the second consecutive session, reaching VND91,500/unit, the highest since the end of January 2022. Other Vingroup "family" stocks such as Vinhomes (HoSE: VHM), Vinpearl (HoSE: VPL), Vincom Retail (HoSE: VRE), VEFAC (UpCOM: VEF) also increased sharply in this morning's trading session.

In particular, VHM shares have run straight to the peak of nearly 3 years, reaching the mark of 62,900 VND/share. Meanwhile, VPL, although newly listed, has also increased sharply compared to the opening day, currently exceeding 99,000 VND/unit.

According to an update from Forbes, Vingroup Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong's assets reached 10.2 billion USD this morning (May 20). With the current asset value, Mr. Vuong became the 278th richest person on the list of world billionaires.

Compared to early April, when Forbes announced the 2025 list, the billionaire's assets have increased by more than 3.5 billion USD.

With his current fortune, Mr. Vuong is still the richest person in Vietnam. Forbes currently records that Vietnam has 4 USD billionaires. The remaining three people on the list are Vietjet Air Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao (2.5 billion USD), Hoa Phat Chairwoman Tran Dinh Long (2.2 billion USD) and Techcombank Chairwoman Ho Hung Anh (1.9 billion USD).
