Tam Dao (Vinh Phuc): Carelessness while burning leaves caused 3 hectares of production forest to burn fiercely.

On the evening of April 15, speaking with the Vietnam Law Newspaper, Mr. Tran Thai Son - Chairman of the People's Committee of Tam Dao District ( Vinh Phuc ) confirmed that a forest fire was occurring in the area.

Specifically, at around 5:30 p.m. today (April 15), the People's Committee of Tam Dao district received a report from the public about a forest fire that occurred in the district. The fire area was identified as a production forest in Luc Lieu village, Dao Tru commune, bordering the protective forest in Bo Ly commune.

Upon receiving the news, the Tam Dao District People's Committee mobilized all forces to coordinate in order to contain the fire. Currently, the authorities have created a firebreak to control the fire. According to initial estimates, the fire area is about 3 hectares.

According to the leaders of Tam Dao district, the cause of the fire was that after harvesting eucalyptus trees, people cleared the tops and dry leaves to burn. During the burning process, strong winds caused the fire to become uncontrollable, causing the fire to spread to the production forest plots of neighboring households.
