At the meeting, delegates reviewed the heroic history of the nation, especially the historic victory on April 30, 1975, a brilliant milestone marking the complete victory of the resistance war against the US to save the country, reuniting the country.
Continuing the revolutionary tradition, over the past 50 years, with the efforts of the entire political system, Party Committee, government and people of Tan Chau town, Tan Chau has promoted the strength of solidarity, both working and studying, and creatively applying the Party's viewpoints and policies, quickly seizing opportunities, exploiting potentials and strengths, combining with mobilizing investment resources for development, thereby the town's economy has had a stable growth rate; the economic structure has shifted positively, the trade and service sector has increased annually, the average income per capita by 2024 is over 74 million VND...
Speaking at the meeting, Tan Chau City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Cop expressed his boundless gratitude to the great President Ho Chi Minh - the genius leader of the Vietnamese revolution; forever grateful for the boundless sacrifices of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, revolutionary soldiers, armed forces, war invalids, families of martyrs, families with meritorious services to the country, youth volunteers, compatriots, soldiers nationwide and in the province, including the children of Tan Chau silk land.
The Secretary of Tan Chau City Party Committee suggested that today's generations, from cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees to all classes of people, need to be deeply aware of the responsibility to inherit and promote the great heritage values of our ancestors to make the country and homeland famous in the new era, the era of national development. Each of our actions today "must be worthy of the blood shed, of the sacrifices and losses that many generations of our ancestors have suffered".
