New student of University of Information Technology wins programming prize at Code Tour 2023

After 63 days and 3 intense rounds in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City, the Code Tour 2023 programming competition ended with first prize going to freshman Nguyen Tan Dung.

On October 2, VNG Company announced that the 60 best contestants in the 3-region qualifying round won tickets to the final round of Code Tour Summit 2023, taking place at VNG Campus - Ho Chi Minh City.

After 5 hours of dramatic competition, new student of the University of Information Technology - Hanoi University of Science and Technology Nguyen Tan Dung became the final champion.

Previously, Code Tour 2023 attracted nearly 700 students from 10 universities across the country to register for the competition. This is the first year that Code Tour organized offline rounds in 3 regions directly at the school. In which, the qualifying round in Ho Chi Minh City recorded the highest number of contestants registering for the competition and was also the only round with a contestant achieving a perfect score of 100/100.

2023 is also the first year that Vietnam's leading universities in information technology have become strategic partners of Code Tour. Together with experts from VNG, 8 lecturers from the university's information technology department have closely participated in the question-making process to ensure high professionalism.

"This year's exam did a great job of conveying the knowledge that students will need throughout their university studies. In addition, with its competitive nature, the contest also requires candidates to be quick and accurate," said Dr. Nguyen Nghiem Viet Dung, lecturer at the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Technology - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, head of the Code Tour Hanoi exam committee.

Starting as a platform that provides exams and exercises to help members improve their programming thinking, Code Tour has attracted nearly 7,500 participants after 5 years.
