Tan Son builds cultural life

Implementing the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" associated with the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", Tan Son district has focused on directing and promoting the movement, contributing to preserving the national cultural identity, consolidating the great national unity bloc, creating motivation for all classes of people to participate in economic, cultural and social development, building an increasingly prosperous homeland.

Tan Son builds cultural life

Muong people in Tan Son district perform dances imbued with national cultural identity to serve tourists visiting Hung Temple festival.

During the year, the district built 16 new residential cultural houses; 84.4% of families achieved the title of "Cultural Family"; 100% of residential areas built and implemented well the community conventions; 100% of families practiced a civilized lifestyle in weddings and funerals. The district currently has 183 cultural and artistic clubs; art teams and clubs are supported to purchase costumes, props, musical instruments; purchase sound and lighting equipment to meet the needs of practice and performance, actively participate in cultural exchange and performance activities, mass art performances to celebrate local and national holidays. Among them, there are meaningful activities such as: Cultural exchange program, art, sports "Spring of solidarity - Tet warm military-civilian affection" jointly organized by the Provincial Military Command and Tan Son district; Tan Son district mass art festival. In particular, on the occasion of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the Cultural Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land this year, more than 800 members of 80 cultural and folk art clubs of 17 communes, towns and residential areas in Tan Son district participated in folk exchange and performance activities to serve the people and pilgrims to Hung Temple with various types of folk dances, songs and performances such as: Cham Duong, Vi singing, Rang singing, Ong-touching dance, Chuong dance, Senh tien dance, Khen la and Khen dance... attracting and creating a deep impression in the hearts of tourists from all over.

From the budget of the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas, nearly 4.7 billion VND has been provided for equipment serving cultural and sports activities for cultural houses in ethnic minority and mountainous residential areas in the district, contributing to the completion of cultural and sports institutions and improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people.

In addition, as a locality with a large number of ethnic minorities, tangible and intangible cultural heritages are also preserved such as: Gong performance, Dam Duong, Vi singing, Rang singing, Mua Chuong, Cap Sac ceremony, Nhay Tet, Doi Tet, Rice procession ceremony, Going to the fields festival, Plowing and harrowing custom, New rice offering custom, Khen dance... including 2 national intangible cultural heritages: Cap Sac ceremony of Dao Tien people, Xuan Son commune and Brocade weaving craft of Muong people, Kim Thuong commune, Xuan Dai.

Ms. Sa Thi Tam in Kim Thuong commune shared: We are very happy and proud that our traditional brocade weaving craft has been recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. Despite many difficulties, we will try to preserve and teach our children and grandchildren to continue to maintain the traditional craft, while preserving and promoting the traditional cultural identity of our people, contributing to building a cultural life in the residential area.

To improve the material and spiritual life of the people and promote the cultural identity of ethnic groups in the area, Tan Son district continues to effectively implement the contents of Project 6 - Preserving and developing some unique cultural forms of ethnic minorities in Tan Son district according to the National Target Program for Socio-economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas in 2025. At the same time, coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to carry out steps to prepare a dossier to propose the ranking of the Doi Tet Festival of the Muong people and the traditional craft of printing patterns on fabric with beeswax of the Dao people in Tan Son district as National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
