A representative of Noi Bai airport said that yesterday (August 30), the number of passengers was large and spread evenly across all time frames. Security forces were deployed in all areas and officially increased security level 1 from today until the end of the holiday.

According to flight schedule data from airlines, it is expected that on August 31, there will be about 95,000 passengers (34,600 international passengers, 60,400 domestic passengers) with a total of 557 flights (241 international flights, 316 domestic flights).

Noi Bai airport representative noted that during the period of strengthening security control measures, in addition to ensuring that 100% of passengers, luggage, goods, mail, and objects are checked and screened before being brought into restricted areas, quarantined areas, and boarded the plane, security forces will conduct additional random checks at a rate of 10% in accordance with regulations.

At the same time, security forces will also increase random interviews of passengers at ID checkpoints...

For a smooth trip, passengers need to prepare and present all necessary documents including:

Children: If flying domestically, a birth certificate (original/copy) or passport is required; for international flights, a passport with visa is required if required by the country/territory of destination.

Adults: ID card/citizen identification card or driver's license, press card, passport; international flights require passport and visa if required by the destination country/territory.

For baggage, each airline will specify different carry-on or checked baggage policies depending on the airfare conditions of each seat.

The standard weight for carry-on luggage is usually 7-12kg maximum. If your luggage exceeds this weight, the airline may ask you to remove some items or pay an additional fee for checking in your luggage.

After completing the check-in procedure, passengers will go through the security gate. Here, staff will perform some steps to verify information and check the items carried to ensure security before the flight.

First, you need to remove accessories such as watches, shoes, hats, belts, and other metal objects and place them in a separate tray. Then, you will go through the security scanner to check for any prohibited items.

In case of international flights, passengers must first complete the exit procedure before entering the screening area.
