Strengthening security, order and safety at schools

(Chinhphu.vn) - The Ministry of Education and Training has just sent an official dispatch to the Departments of Education and Training, universities, and vocational training institutions requesting them to step up the work of ensuring security and order, preventing crimes, and preventing and combating law violations in 2025.

Promote propaganda to raise awareness among students about ensuring security and order, preventing crimes, and preventing and combating violations of the law.

Pursuant to Plan No. 53/KH-BCĐ dated February 5, 2025 of the Government's Steering Committee for Crime Prevention and Control on crime prevention and control, and human trafficking prevention and control in 2025; Official Dispatch No. 139/CD-TTg dated December 23, 2024 of the Prime Minister on strengthening the prevention and handling of fraudulent activities of appropriating assets using high technology and on cyberspace; to proactively control the situation, continue to maintain security, order and safety of schools, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) requests the Departments of Education and Training, specialized schools under the MOET, higher education institutions, and vocational education institutions to deploy a number of key tasks.

Organize commitment signing for students not to violate gambling, football betting, prostitution

The Ministry of Education and Training requires that managers, teachers, employees, students, and trainees be thoroughly informed about crime prevention and law violations, ensuring security, order, and safety at schools, and strictly implementing legal regulations. Coordinate with local authorities and units to strictly control business activities such as restaurants, lottery, internet services, pawnshops, loan sharking, etc. around schools to ensure security, order, and safety inside and outside schools. Organize students to sign a commitment not to violate gambling, football betting, illegal credit, prostitution, weapons, explosives, firecrackers, etc.

Strengthen propaganda to raise awareness and sense of responsibility of managers, teachers, employees, students, students' families and the community on crime prevention, human trafficking prevention, and school violence prevention; raise vigilance and sense of responsibility for self-prevention against methods and tricks of all types of crime, especially crimes using high technology in cyberspace to defraud and appropriate property, on management and protection of personal data, especially tricks of taking advantage of luring and enticing students,education managers, teachers and employees to open bank accounts and mobile subscriptions to commit illegal acts.

Units need to effectively implement activities in response to "National Day against Human Trafficking" and " World Day against Human Trafficking on July 30" in accordance with the actual situation, ensuring savings, efficiency and practicality. Continue to diversify forms of propaganda about human trafficking crimes (especially using the internet and social networks) so that students are alert to methods and tricks of human trafficking in the form of fraudulent labor export "easy work, high salary".

At the same time, closely coordinate between schools, families and relevant local agencies and units in the management, situation grasping, crime prevention and law violations for students; actively participate in denouncing, detecting crimes and preventing law violations; strictly handle violations according to the provisions of law, ensuring the safety of rights and legitimate interests of students.

Strengthen management, inspection and supervision of the implementation of security and order assurance, crime prevention and law violation prevention in educational institutions.
