Strengthening the work of ensuring network security of critical information systems

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – Recently, the domestic cyber security situation has been extremely complicated, especially in the context of our country promoting the implementation of Project 06 of the Government . Departments, ministries, localities and businesses are focusing on building many important, complex information systems with deep connectivity, storing huge amounts of data... easily revealing weaknesses that can cause cyber security risks.

In the above situation, to strengthen the work of preventing and combating cyber attacks and protecting data, the Subcommittee on Cyber Security and Safety of Hai Phong City has just issued Document 34/TBATANMTP-KSTTHC directing and requesting Heads of Departments, branches and sectors of the city, Chairmen of People's Committees at district and commune levels and agencies, units and enterprises in the city to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the Law on Cyber Security 2018, Decree No. 53/2022/ND-CP dated August 15, 2022 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Cyber Security, Decree No. 13/2023/ND-CP dated April 17, 2023 of the Government on protection of personal data... and the contents of the above document; specifying the responsibilities of units, organizations and individuals in the work of protecting the network security of critical information systems and protecting personal data.

Along with that, organize propaganda and dissemination throughout the political system, agencies and units to raise awareness and responsibility for ensuring network security and safety, protecting state secrets and personal data information in cyberspace. Regularly update and strictly implement notices and warnings from specialized agencies on types of cyber attacks, cyber crimes, high-tech crimes, risks of losing network security and personal data information; organize drills to prevent and combat cyber attacks and respond to and overcome network security incidents according to regulations for the unit's information systems; regularly train, foster and improve knowledge and skills for cadres, party members, and specialized teams in information technology and network security at agencies and units to meet the capacity and requirements of protecting network security and state secrets in cyberspace.

Assign the City Police to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Information and Communications and relevant agencies and units to periodically and suddenly inspect and supervise the implementation of regulations on network security protection and protection of critical information systems; strictly handle according to regulations cases causing network insecurity, disclosure of state secrets, and personal data on cyberspace of agencies, units, and localities in the city. Review, develop, and complete regulations, processes, rules, and instructions on network security protection and submit them to competent authorities for approval; at the same time, regularly inspect, supervise, and ensure compliance and strict implementation throughout the city. Strictly handle acts of illegal transfer and sale of personal data. In case of detecting violations of regulations on personal data protection, notify the specialized agency for personal data protection of the Ministry of Public Security for timely coordination and handling.
