Strengthening management and budget collection in the tourism sector for foreign tourists

(LĐ online) - The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a document requesting relevant departments, branches and localities to strengthen management and budget collection in the fields of tourism , accommodation and food for foreign tourists.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requests departments, branches, sectors and localities, according to their assigned functions and tasks, to focus on implementing the following tasks: For the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, it is necessary to strengthen coordination with departments, branches and localities in managing guests and tourists in the province; coordinate and share data with tax authorities and localities to manage budget revenue.

Coordinate with the Department of Information and Communications, the Provincial Tax Department and the People's Committees of districts and cities to strengthen propaganda work for accommodation establishments and tourism businesses in the province; raise awareness, responsibility and obligations of businesses in implementing tax laws.

Coordinate with departments, branches, sectors and localities to review and grasp the situation of organizing tours, especially "zero-dong tours" (if any) of travel service companies serving foreign visitors in the province; research and propose management measures to competent authorities; promptly detect and handle violations according to the provisions of law.

The Department of Information and Communications coordinates to inspect and supervise compliance with procedures and regulations on management and exploitation of database systems and technology systems; coordinates with the Provincial Police to promote propaganda to people, tourists, and accommodation establishments to use the VNeID application.

The Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Police to take the lead in coordinating with departments, branches and localities to continue effectively implementing the Regulation on coordination in managing and registering tourists and accommodation via the internet at tourist accommodation establishments in Lam Dong province.

Coordinate with Lien Khuong International Airport to review, compile statistics and share data with relevant departments, agencies and sectors periodically every month and quarter.

For the People's Committees of districts and cities, organize the dissemination of accommodation registration via the Public Service Information Portal for organizations and individuals doing accommodation business in the area. Share data with relevant agencies and units to exploit information on tourist accommodation including: revenue, number of visitors (number of turns, number of days), nationality of international tourists, room occupancy rate, purpose of trip, average days of stay in the area.

The Provincial Tax Department is responsible for exploiting and effectively using information on tourist accommodation; coordinating the effective use of applications on accommodation facility management and guest management via the Public Service Portal http://dichvucong.dancuquocgia.gov.vn/ or VNeID software, to manage revenue and taxes of accommodation and tourism facilities.

Exploit and effectively use information and data shared from departments, branches, Lien Khuong International Airport, travel and tourism businesses, and accommodation to grasp the specific schedules of tourists, especially guests staying via e-commerce through OTA channels such as: Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia,...
